How To Make SoundCloud's Profile Private

Read Blog Watch Video

Unlike other social media networks, there isn't any option available on SoundCloud using which you can make your profile entirely private. Some of the things listed below will always be visible to the audience-

  • Your profile's artwork.
  • Description.
  • Website links.
  • Your re-posts.
  • Likes on your tracks.
  • Comments made by you.
  • People following you.
  • People whom you are following.

SoundCloud allows you to make your music tracks and playlists private so that no one else will be able to listen to your tracks without your consent.

Changing The Privacy Settings Of Tracks

Uploading tracks publically on SoundCloud allows everyone on the platform to search and listen to your music. Your tracks would be visible to existing followers and the new visitors. However, setting you SoundCloud account  "Private" will ensure that the audio doesn't appear on your profile page and isn't discoverable to anyone expect you on the platform.

A 'scheduled' track option is also available but only for the pro unlimited users on the platform. With this option, they can keep their tracks private to a specified date, afterward, the track goes public automatically.
