If you are not logged in your Facebook account already, then you need to enter your registered email address or phone number in the required tab. Next, enter the correct password in the given tab and click on “Sign in” button located at the top right corner of the Facebook page.
Your email address or phone number and password must be correct otherwise you can’t log in to your account.
Once you logged in your Facebook account, click on the drop-down arrow located next to the question mark icon at the top right corner of the page.
When you click on the drop-down arrow, you will see a list of menu, there you need to select the “Settings” option located above the “Log Out” option.
After selecting the “Settings” option, you will get a list of various options on the left side of the page. There, you will be required to select “Security and login” option located above the “Your Facebook information” option.
From the list that appears on your screen from the “Security and login” option, you need to select “Get about unrecognized logins” tab, located below the “Setting up extra security”.
Under “Get alerts about unrecognized logins” you will have an option to get an alert when anyone log in to your account from different device or browser.
You can select “Email” and “Messenger”- Facebook will notify you when your account is accessed from a mobile device or a computer that you have not used before.
Once you enabled security alert, this will require a security code upon accessing your account from unknown mobile device or browser.
You will get a security code on your registered mobile number, email or Messenger; you have to put the security code before login from the other device. You need to click on the “Save Changes” button to enable security notification.
Once you enable security notification, this will send a notification to your email every time a new computer or device logs into your Facebook account.
