On Mobile (On Android and iOS)

1. Open Facebook:

Tap on the  Facebook application on your device. It is a dark-blue colored icon with a white “f.”  Doing so will open the News Feed if you are already logged into Facebook on your phone.

If you are not already logged into Facebook, enter your email address, username or phone number, and password to login Facebook.

2. Tap On The Hamburger Icon:

For Android users, it would be located at the right corner of the page represented with the three horizontal lines.  Whereas, for iOS users, it would be on the bottom right corner of the screen.

3. Tap On Your Name:

You will see your name tab at the top of the menu, tap on your name to view your profile page.

4. Tap On Your Cover Photo:

On your profile page, click on the cover image (the photo which appears behind your profile image).

5. Select A Photo Option:

From the drop-down menu, select the “Upload photo” option if you want to upload an image from your phone’s gallery.  Tap on “Select photo on Facebook” if you want to use a photo from your Facebook’s uploads.

6. Select Your Desired Photo:

Select a photo which you want to choose as your cover image. Ensure the photo you choose to set as your cover photo is at least 399 pixels wide and 150 pixels tall.

7. Re-Position Your Image:

Drag and reposition your cover image so that the best parts of the picture appear in your cover photo.

8. Click On “Save”:

Finally, you can click on the “Save” option from the top-right corner of your screen. This will save the changes successfully.

1. Go To Facebook’s Website:

Type in “” in your preferred web browser and click on “Enter.” Doing this will take you to the login page of Facebook.

2. Enter Your Email Address And Password:

On the login page, enter your email address or your phone number and enter your password in the blank fields.

3. Click On “Log In” Button:

After entering your email address and password,  click on the “Log in” option located at the right side of the password field into your account.

4. Click On Your Name:

You will see the first name along with your profile picture on the right side of the search box. There, you need to tap on your name.

5. Click On “Add Cover Photo”:

Scroll up to your cover image and click on “Add cover photo” from the top-left of your cover image.

6. Choose A Photo Location:

Now, click on one of the following options from the drop-down menu:

  • Choose from my photos: Choose this option if you want to upload a photo from the Facebook uploads.
  • Upload photo: Choose this option if you want to upload a picture from your desktop.

7. Select Your Desired Photo:

Select the photo which you want to set as your cover image and make sure that the selected image is at least 399 pixels wide and 150 pixels tall.

8. Re-Position Your Image:

Drag and reposition your cover image accordingly to give your cover photo a more striking look.

9. Click On “Save changes” Option:

Lastly, click on the save changes option from the bottom right side of your cover image to make sure that your cover photo is successfully updated.
