Facebook has been the number one social media networking site, and its features have always been the favorite of users across the world. Either it is a status update feature or Messenger app, every element has delivered convenient options to users. But on the other hand, Facebook Stories section has not yet become a favorable or essential part for users, though its usage is growing day by day. However, Stories are arguably growing faster on Facebook’s other properties -Instagram and WhatsApp, but the giant is still trying to make the Stories section more interactive and convenient.
Facebook is eager to make its Stories section a trend and for this, Facebook has released a new set of CTA stickers for Pages which will allow businesses to make the more efficient use of the option through direct response tools.
The options Facebook has offered will surely be the best for those businesses considering how they can utilize Stories within their online marketing objectives and whether the stories would be worth for their marketing. But it would be difficult to judge the additional updates on the Stories section as the section did not get a good response from the users in the previous days. If the same option were released for Instagram then it would be of more interest and effectual, but again it would be doubtful to say anything as use of Facebook Stories is growing, maybe not at a compatible rate to others, but it is growing all the same.
Last year in September, Facebook reported that Facebook and Messenger Stories together attain 300 million daily active users, which is actually not a bad count, especially when Instagram Stories got the tremendous growth but still it has only 100 million daily active users. But this rate completely depends on the total growth of the networks-Facebook’s main app has a much broader scale (2.27b MAU), but still, the option seeing far slower as compares to other networks.
Facebook and Messenger together made more than 3.5 billion users, yet only 300 million of them are checking their Stories each day. Regardless the Stories section is at the top of the screen-in fact, there is nothing much Facebook can do to make Stories more present in the app. Moreover, if we consider every aspect of Facebook Stories, fewer than 10% of users checking them out at all.
Facebook and Instagram adapt the Story feature from Snapchat, though it was reported previously that Snapchat has 25% of its daily users post their Story on a regular basis, whereas on Instagram, 40% of its users engage with Stories daily. Moreover, when it comes to Facebook Stories, there is a lot less attention, despite being one of the great social media networking sites.
However, it does not mean that you should ignore Facebook Stories- 300 million users are still important. As a business owner or creators, it is essential to gain every possible user’s attention to boost exposure for your brand Stories content. Moving forward, it can be possible that the growth of Facebook’s Stories section reach the highest rate as the giant is making every possible effort to do so.
It remains to be seen how popular Facebook Stories will become, but here, at this point, it could be a relevant option to use for business promotion.
